I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween. This year was Octavia’s first time out trick-or-treating. She was dressed as her favourite Disney Princess, Rapunzel. It was so nice to share this with her and my little niece. They had so much fun.
We didn’t do too many doors, since most didn’t answer. We are in Australia so it’s not that popular. Most of our neighbours are elderly Italians. A few we know and the rest we got to know, which was nice. Since most weren’t expecting us we got a variety of treats including some delicious italian biscuits. They were the first thing O devoured as soon as we got home and will be the only thing. I’m thinking we trade her chocolates and lollies for a toy. She is only two and a half all.
What did you dress up for Halloween?
What was the best treat you got?
In the lead up to Halloween I though I’d colour some of the Halloween themed pictures.
This first one is the last I completed tonight. It is from the Japanese colouring book Menuet De Bonheur by Kanoko Egusa. I used Prismacolor Premier pencils, white and gold Uniball Signo pens and black Faber Castell Pitt Artist brush pen.
This is the first one I’ve coloured from this book. I really struggled with this one. My colour scheme is all wrong. I started with the background and I found the paper a bit different from what I’m use to. For small parts it was ok, but large areas didn’t fill in well. I nearly left it but I don’t tend to leave working processes. I cant wait to do more in this book though. The pictures are so adorable. So stay tuned for a review soon.
The next two Halloween themed pictures from Jasmine Beckett Griffith’s Coloring book. I recently did a review with more coloured picture that you can see here.
What books did you colour from for Halloween?
