Magic Kingdom Guide

Magic Kingdom one of four Disney theme parks in Florida. This particular park embodies the essence of what Disney is all about. The attractions, characters, and parades feature the classic Disney movies that we all know and love.

At the heart of the park is Cinderella’s Castle which is surrounded by six whimsical lands. These include Main Street USA, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Liberty Square, Frontierland and Adventureland.

  • classic long flume ride telling the Brer Rabbit story (Song of the South)
  • Musical romp with fun characters, some nifty twists and bumps in the middle of the mountain, and a big, soaking wet, 40-miles-per-hour, 52-foot drop at the end.

  • Located near the Laughin’ Place, designed for little children (under 40 inches)

Haunted Mansion (Track Ride, Liberty Square) 🙂 ⭐

  • Once inside the mansion, walk through “stretch” room and corridor to board your “Doom Buggy.”

The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History (Live Show,  Liberty Square) 🙂

  • Muppets’ view of America’s most hallowed stories
  • Two shows alternate: the Declaration of Independence and the ride of Paul Revere
  • Variety of times throughout the day

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Roller Coaster · Fantasyland) ⭐

  • Board mine cars that sway on a twisting track in this musical roller coaster adventure featuring Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
  • Line activity:  wash and sort newly discovered jewels
  • Must be 38in (97cm) or taller
  • Book FastPass

Electrical Water Pageant 🙂

  • Charming sea creatures light up the lagoon, to a variety of Disney tunes,
  • Sea creatures are joined by flashing American flags with twinkling stars!
  • A medley of inspiring patriotic songs plays along as the stars and stripes float on the shimmering lagoon surface.
  • Time: 10:35pm, 15 minutes

Wishes Nighttime Spectacular (Fireworks) (Main Street USA) 🙂

  • Medley of famous Disney songs and the voices of Disney characters
  • Time: 10pm, 12 minutes
  • Optional Extra: Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party
    •  an unforgettable view of fireworks over Cinderella Castle while you indulge in a decadent dessert experience.
    • Check in at 9pm at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant.

  • Board ‘hunny hive’ and journey through the pages of a Winnie the Pooh book.

Enchanted Tales with Belle Meet and Greet (Ride, Fantasyland) 🙂  ⭐

  • Visit Belle’s cottage to recreate the Beauty and the Beast-inspired play.
  • Meet Belle and Lumiere.
  • Time at intervals through day

Peter Pan’s Flight (Track Ride, Fantasyland) 🙂 ⭐

  • Board a flying pirate ship for a trip through the skies above London, before setting off to Never Land to follow the adventures of Peter Pan, Wendy, and the Lost Boys.

  • Donald Duck is the star of this 12-minute 3D movie musical review

Space Mountain (Indoor Roller Coaster, Tomorrowland) ⭐

  • Rocket trains with single-file seating, adventure through space
  • Before boarding prepare with 3 challenging training missions, 90 seconds each
  • Must be 44in (112cm) or taller

Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor (Live Theater Show, Tomorrowland) 🙂 ⭐

  • Improv-style comedy show, uses unseen live voice actors to overdub the on-screen monsters, allowing them to target selected audience members for jokes.
  • Sit near the center aisle if you want to improve your chances of getting on screen.

Carousel of Progress (Animatronic Show, Tomorrowland) 🙂

  • Carousel-style theatre rotates around a central circular stage, a
  • illustrating how technology has changed the lives of an Audio-Animatronic family over generations during the 20th century

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover (Track Ride, Tomorrowland) 🙂

  • 10-minute tour of Tomorrowland aboard this emission-free mass transit system of the future. Rarely a line. Great to do at night.

Festival of Fantasy Parade (Live show, Starts at Main Street USA) 🙂

  • Parade floats through Magic Kingdom Park.
  • All classic stories, characters and original music.
  • 3pm, 12 minute

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom (Walkthrough, Main Street USA)

  • Free interactive scavenger hunt game with 9 exciting quests
  • Each admission ticket gives five free spell cards, a key card (required to open a portal), and a special portal map per day.

  • musical boat tour hosted by the children of the world.
  • 10-minute journey

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel (Fantasyland) 🙂

  • Beautiful ornate carousel horses

Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid (Track Ride, Fantasyland) 🙂  ⭐

  • Ride clamshell-shaped seats through retelling of The Little Mermaid

Dumbo the Flying Elephant (Carnival Spinner · Fantasyland) 🙂  ⭐

  • Indoor play area for kids and beepers for parents to alert them when it is almost the family’s turn to ride.
  • Long wait, but classic

Princess Fairytale Hall (Meet and Greet · Fantasyland) 🙂  ⭐

  • Meet Cinderella and Aurora/Elena or Rapunzel and Tiana
  • Recommended if you interested in princesses
  • Wait times vary but worth it when it’s not busy

Jungle Cruise (Narrated Ride, Adventureland) 🙂  ⭐

  • Cruise on tramp steamer inspired by the movie The African Queen, down the rivers of Asia, Africa, and South America.
  • Hippos, elephants and maybe even a headhunter await your arrival.
  •  10-minute boat ride

Enchanted Tiki Room (Animatronic Show, Adventureland)  🙂

  • Tropical birds, Tiki gods and colourful flowers come to life
  • 10-minute South Seas musical celebration

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (Shooter Ride, Tomorrowland) 🙂  ⭐

  • Fire lasers to defeat Zurg in this shooting-gallery game

Astro Orbiter (Carnival Spinner · Tomorrowland)  🙂

  • Similar to Dumbo, but higher and faster.
  • Control how high you fly by pulling or pushing the lever inside the ship

Country Bear Jamboree (Animatronic Show, Frontierland)   🙂

  • 18 hillbilly bears (Audio-Animatronics) sing medley of country songs
  • 16 minutes in air-conditioned theatre with minimal wait

Walt Disney World Railroad (Main Street USA)   🙂

  • Embark on a relaxing 20-minute, 1.5-mile scenic tour onboard an authentic steam-powered train
  • Stations at Main Street, Frontierland and Fantasyland.
  • You can enjoy the full tour around the park, or simply use the railroad as a convenient way to move between lands without walking.

Hall of Presidents (Animatronic Show, Liberty Square)   🙂

  • Film and Audio-Animatronics presentation relaying the dramatic story of the United States of America and the relationship between the Presidents and the people

Not Recommended:

Swiss Family Treehouse (Walk-Through Exhibit, Adventureland)   🙂

  • You must be able to climb a total of 116 stairs

  • Must be 40in (102cm) or taller

Tom Sawyer’s Island (Frontierland)

  • Cross the Rivers of America on a short raft ride over to this wooded island playground
  • Explore the two caves, climb up the hills or scramble across the barrel bridge

Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station (Fantasyland

  • Circus-themed water play zone where children can cool off and get wet

The Laughin’ Place

  • Designed to look like where characters of the “Song of the South” live.
  • Includes a small house with a toddler slide and plenty of things to climb on
  • designed for little children (under 40 inches)

  • Dinner: French bistro-inspired menu $21-35 for mains

Liberty Tree Tavern (Table Service, Liberty Square)

  • Lunch: al a carte menu of pot roast, roast turkey, hamburgers, and salads $16-23
  • Dinner: variety of roasted meats and sides, served family-style, fixed price $19 children and $39 adults.

Cinderella’s Royal Table (Character Meal, Table Service Fantasyland)

  • Hardest table to get, booked out 6 months in advance, call directly for bookings
  • Located inside Cinderella Castle, includes a meet-and-greet with Cinderella, as well as a souvenir photo with the princess.
  • Prices range $35 to $60 per adult (depended on meal and time of year)

Recommended:

Columbia Harbour House (Counter Service, Liberty Square)

  • An indoor counter-service seafood restaurant
  • Serving lobster rolls, salmon, fried shrimp and fish from $10-15.
  • There’s abundant seating upstairs, including several tables near windows, offering delightful views of the park’s Liberty Square.

Gaston’s Tavern (Counter Service, Fantasyland)

  • Serves snacks such as mixed vegetable cups, hummus with chips, fruit cups and ham-and-cheese-stuffed pretzel
  • House specialities are the Cinnamon rolls and LeFou’s Brew (non-alcoholic drink)
  • Gaston character Meet and Greet outside tavern

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe (Counter Service, Frontierland)

  • Serves fajitas, burritos, and rice bowls.
  • Entree prices range from $12-16
  • Hours 10:30 AM – park closing

The Plaza Restaurant (Table Service, Main Street USA)

  • Serves sandwiches, cheeseburgers, and meatloaf
  • Entrees from $15-$21

Tomorrowland Terrace (Counter Service, Tomorrowland)

  • Large restaurant serving salads, pasta, cheeseburgers, and fried chicken sandwiches from $10-12
  • The outdoor (covered) seating area offers some lovely views of the castle
  • Special reservation for Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace

Sleepy Hollow Refreshments (Counter Service, Liberty Square)

  • Serves made-to-order waffles, funnel cakes and ice cream treats.

Main Street Bakery (Counter Service, Main Street USA)

  • Starbucks Coffee serving familiar lineup of beverages, “grab ‘n’ go” pre-packaged sandwiches and snacks

The Crystal Palace (Character Meal, Main Street USA)

  • Buffet style from $15-$35, $35-$60
  • Character meal with Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends
  • Breakfast 8 AM – 10:45 AM, Lunch 11:30 AM – 2:45 PM, Dinner 3:15 PM – 9:30 PM

Tony’s Town Square Restaurant (Table Service, Main Street USA)

  • Lady and the Tramp themed Italian restaurant
  • Entrees $20-$34
  • Serves signature Spaghetti and Meatballs

Diamond Horseshoe (Table Service, Liberty Square)

  • All-you-can-eat barbeque pulled turkey, ham, or beef stew; Frontier salad with chipotle ranch dressing and cornbread to start, and choice of an apple tart or an s’mores-style Campfire brownie for dessert.
  • The prices will be $35-60
  • Lunch 11:30 AM – 2:55 PM, Dinner 3:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Tortuga Tavern (Counter Service, Adventureland)

  • Pulled pork, beef brisket, or grilled chicken, served in barbeque sauce on Texas toast, with beans and cole slaw on the side.
  • Also will serve roasted corn and vegetable salads, with the option of adding the barbeque chicken or brisket to the salad, for vegetarian or low-carb diners.
  • The restaurant is open only during peak attendance weeks.

Not Recommended:

Pinocchio Village Haus (Counter Service, Fantasyland)

  • Italian themed quick service
  • Serves chicken parmesan sandwich, flatbread pizzas, pasta dishes, salads, gelato

Fast Pass

The Magic Kingdom has the most FastPass Attractions. You probably don’t want to waste your FastPass on all these attractions, since they don’t have long wait times.
