Disney Fashion for Grownups

I am a long time Disney fan and visiting the theme parks was really a dream come true. When you visit the parks you feel like you’re in a ‘Disney bubble’. In this bubble, you are so emersed in this magical world and there is so much merchandise that you feel like you need to have. A lot of this stuff I didn’t really need as much as I felt like I did in those few magical days (eg. Minnie Ears). However, there are some items that I cherish and are happy I bought.

Since visiting the Disney parks in Tokyo, Florida and Paris, I am more of a fanatic for the Disney merchandise. At the parks, there are some exclusive items that you can’t get anywhere else, such as Minnie Paris Collection or The Cherry Tree Lane Collection. However, there are some other brands that sell very cool Disney inspired clothing and accessories for adults, that aren’t tacky and still inspires your Peter Pan complex. These are some of my favorite brands with Disney inspired clothing and accessories.

By the way, if you are interested in visiting Disney parks or want to reminisce with me, see my photos and guides for the Disney theme parks here.

Apparel

Lotus Leggings have a whole range of Disney themed leggings (long and 3/4), sports bras, dresses, skirts, and bathers. They are available for women, men, and kids, in a variety of sizes (small to plus size). I first discovered Lotus leggings from a friend, who was telling me about this very cool Beauty and the Beast dress she bought online. So next minute I was purchasing that dress, workout attire and fashion leggings. They are all very comfortable and the fun designs really brighten up my day. They often have big sales and ship worldwide.

The Bradford exchange is an international online store that sells Disney merchandise and collectibles. For apparel, they offer women jackets, jumpers and shoes. However, depending on your location, it will determine what items are available for you to buy The prices are more premium, which may be due to quality. The items pictured below are from the Australian site.

Nightwear

In the bedroom, I don’t mind wearing something a bit fun. However, I want something with good quality fabric and it must be comfortable and age appropriate. There are a few brands that do very cool grown up Disney PJ’s, such as  Top Shop, Munki Munki, Primark and Peter Alexander. I haven’t listed them individually as most of these brands don’t do a huge Disney collection and styles change each season. Depending on your location will determine if you can buy in store or online.

Jewellery

Pandora is an international Danish Jewellery maker, which is known for their charm bracelets. However, their range also extends to bracelets, rings, necklaces, and earrings. I’m not a huge fan of charm bracelets, but the Pandora Disney Collection is adorable. I love that they are quite understated and elegant. No matter your age you can rock your favourite Disney character, whether you’re dressed casually or in formal attire. You can find Pandora stores worldwide and they can also ship internationally.

Handbags

Dooney & Bourke collaborated with Disney to produce an amazing Disney Parks handbag collection. I first saw some of their collection at the theme parks and fell in love. They are quite pricey, as they are high quality in design and materials (leather). They come in a variety of sizes and styles and are inspired by different characters and parks. You can find their bags from The Disney Store and a variety other online stores.
